Allan Border Field in Brisbane is named after the former Australian captain Allan Border, who led Australia to their maiden World Cup title in 1987. Formerly known as Neumann Oval, this venue is located in the suburb of Albion in Queensland. It has hosted women’s international matches and is frequently used to host domestic and BBL/WBBL games. It has been in operation since 1999.
Interestingly, it was used previously for rugby league teams between 1909 and 1995. It is run and operated under the supervision of the Queensland Cricket Board. Allan Border Field hosted its first international game in 1999, which was the WODI game between Australia and South Africa.
