The lanka premier league, Sri-Lanka’s domestic league is back for its fifth season. This edition features a total of five teams including Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Sixers, Galle Marvels, Jaffna Kings, and B-Love Kandy.
Organized and administered by Sri-Lanka cricket, LPL 2024 will witness head to head clashes in the double round format where each team will go against one another in total of 8 matches before the playoffs.Get ready for some intense showdowns as B-Love Kandy, the current champions, strive to keep their title, while the Jaffna Kings, who have won three times before, aim for redemption. The action heats up on the field from July 1st to 21st, 2024.
The Jaffna Kings boast a strong formidable lineup of talented players with various different roles making a full well rounded team. Led by captain Charith Asalanka, the team includes experienced batters like Avishka Fernando, Rilee Rossouw, and emerging talents like Ahan Wickramasinghe and Pathum Nissanka. The stumps are in the hands of the wicketkeepers Kusal Mendis, Nishan Madushka, and Vishad Randika. Along with this the team has an impressive bowling order that knows how to depth to the bowling and take advantage of the pitch as per the needs.
