The Lanka Premier League will kick off on the 1st July 2024, right after the ICC T20 Men’s World Cup 2024 ends, offering cricket fans another chance to witness the thriller of cricket and entertainment.
Organized and managed by Sri Lanka Cricket, The Lanka Premier League (LPL) is Sri Lanka’s top Twenty20 cricket tournament, featuring exciting matches and showcasing the country’s cricket stars since it started in 2020. This year’s edition will feature a total of five teams coming for head to head matches in a total of 20 matches where each team will go against one another for 8 times.
The Dambulla sixers are ready with its formidable squad for the upcoming Lanka Premier League 2024, boasting a mix of experienced stars and emerging raw young stars. The batting lineup of the team is led by the explosive Danushka Gunathilaka and the hard hitting Ibrahim Zadran. To stabilize the middle order the sixers have experienced Reeza Hendricks and the talented Nuwanidu Fernando. All-rounder Mohammad Nabi, the team’s captain, brings his world-class spin bowling and hard-hitting batting to the table, while Chamindu Wickramasinghe, Dushan Hemantha, and Nimesh Vimukthi offer a variety of all-round options. The behind the stumps duties are reserved for the hands of three talented wicket keepers, Kusal Perera, Lahiru Udara, and Ranesh Silva.
The bowling attack is spearheaded by the experienced pace duo of Mustafizur Rahman and Nuwan Pradeep, while Asanka Manoj, Dilshan Madushanka, Nuwan Thushara, and Praveen Jayawickrama provide a variety of pace and spin options. With such a well-rounded squad, the Dambulla Sixers are poised for a strong showing in LPL 2024.
