Set to begin from 1 July 2024, Lanka Premier League is a twenty over format round robin tournament. Featuring a total of Five teams, this year will mark the Fifth edition of the league. Governed by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), the tournament features five franchise teams named after Sri Lankan cities. These teams include Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Sixers, Galle Marvels, Jaffna Kings, and B-Love Kandy.
With the matches planned ahead for the fifth season the key team to look out for would be the B-Love Candy. Having won the last edition in 2023 they would be aiming again to win the coveted trophy once again. B love candy features a team with a mix of Batsmen, all rounders and a bowling order which holds the capacity to dismantle the batting lineup of any opponents.

Each team in the tournament will go against one another in the 8 matches and the teams on the top of the table will be competing in the semi finals and then will move to the finale of the tournament.
B Love Candy captained by the Wanindu Hasaranga, an all rounder is all set to knock out the coming teams in mid way with the fully well-rounded functional team of top class batters, bowlers and all rounders. Opening with the batting lineups of Angelo Mathews, Ashen Bandara, Chamath Gomez, and Dimuth Karunaratne, teams will be looking forward to score high on the scorecard.
Administered by Sri Lanka Cricket and under, the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024 aims to bring together fans to celebrate the essence of cricket throughout Sri Lanka.
