India are set to take on Australia in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 19th November. After registering a convincing 70-run win over New Zealand in the first semi-final in Mumbai, India became the first team to book their spot for the title clash in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Now the main focus is on the ultimate glory as India will be coming to clinch their third World Cup title in front of their home crowd.
To get ahead of the opposition in a big final, India must deliver a solid performance with the bat and put pressure on the opposition bowlers. However, it shouldn’t be a big issue for India as all of their batters are in great form and have been dominating the tournament so far. The top order is in the hands of the skipper Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli. On the other hand, Shreyas Iyer has also shown great form and helped to accelerate the innings in the middle-order. Wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul has been also seen in great touch with 386 runs from 10 matches at an average of 77.20 along with one half-century and a hundred.
Rahul turned out to be a match-winner for India in the opening match against Australia in Chennai where the team was struggling by losing 3 wickets for just 2 runs while chasing 200 runs. Since then, he has been making crucial 30s and finishing the innings for India. His contribution will be crucial for India in the final as the team will be expecting a big finish from him.
