With three wins in a row, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are set to take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at their own den at M.A Chidambaram Stadium or Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on 8th April. KKR are currently unbeaten in the tournament with three victories from three matches and are standing in top-2 at the points table. Now, they will be facing the defending champions CSK at Chepauk in the upcoming IPL 2024 clash on Monday. CSK are coming after losing back-to-back against Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively. However, they are still unbeaten at their home ground defeating Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans respectively at Chepauk. Now they will host the unbeaten KKR team at the same ground.
When last time both CSK and KKR played against each other at Chepauk on 14th May, 2023. KKR come out victorious against the hosts winning the game by 6 wickets. Chasing a target of 145 runs, Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh came up with half-centuries as KKR chased the winning total in 18.3 overs losing four wickets.
Now, KKR will be looking to repeat the history and defeat CSK at their home ground again to register their fourth straight win of the season. For that, they will be hoping for their best players to step up and deliver match-winning performances. One of those players will be Venkatesh Iyer.
