The captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the IPL 2025 season is Pat Cummins. Pat Cummins, the Australian World Cup-winning captain, was announced as the new skipper for SRH in March 2024, replacing Aiden Markram. Cummins is the only overseas captain in 2025.

SRH have changed many captains in the last 11 years with David Warner having the longest stint from 2015 to 2021 before the franchise released him ahead of IPL 2022. He led SRH to the title in 2016 where they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final. After that, they made it into the final in 2018 when Kane Williamson took charge in Warner’s absence. Williamson led SRH to the final in his first outing as the captain of the side. Also, in the first season for Pat Cummins as an SRH skipper, he led the team to one more final in 2024.
