Sanju Samson made his IPL debut in 2013 for Rajasthan Royals and played with the franchise until 2015. Later, he joined Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) for two seasons in 2016 and 2017, respectively. RR signed him back in 2018, and since then, he has been playing for them. RR made him the captain in 2021, and he has been leading the franchise since then. He led the team into the final of the 2022 edition.

He will lead RR in Eliminator game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Wednesday at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Samson has good numbers against RCB, but his numbers in the IPL playoffs are average.
He has played 7 matches in the IPL playoffs and scored a total of 149 runs at an average of 21.28 and a strike rate of 117.32. Samson has only one score of 50, which is also his highest score in IPL knockouts. Though his numbers are as per his standards, he will look to improve them in the coming knockout matches.

Sanju Samson Best Knocks in IPL Playoffs
The highest score for Sanju Samson in the IPL playoffs came against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. It was the Eliminator of the IPL 2018. KKR scored 169/7 in the first inning. Chasing the score, RR only managed 144/4 and lost the game. Samson scored his first half-century in the IPL playoffs and scored 50 off 38 balls. But it came in the losing cause.
Sanju Samson’s second-highest score in an IPL playoff came in 2022. It was Qualifier 1 of the tournament against Gujarat Titans at Eden Gardens. Rajasthan Royals batted first and scored 188/6 in the first inning. Jos Buttler made 89* off 56, and Samson scored 47 off 26 balls, with five fours and three sixes. However, RR couldn’t defend the total, and GT made 191/3 to win that game.
