Rajasthan Royals (RR) are set to face Lucknow Super Giants in Match No. 36 of the IPL 2025 on 19th April at the iconic Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. After emerging as champions in the inaugural of the IPL in 2008, RR haven’t been able to repeat the triumph twice in the last 16 years. However, they went into the final in 2022 but ended up losing to Gujarat Titans in the title clash in Ahmedabad. Now, the Men in Pink will be looking to end their title drought and emerge as the champions for the second time in the IPL.
As RR will take on SRH in their opening match of IPL 2025, all eyes will be on the skipper Sanju Samson. The wicket-keeper batter led RR to their second IPL final in 2022 and will be carrying hopes from the fans to become the RR captain after legendary Shane Warne to win the IPL. The right-hander registered his best score on this ground in a match against Lucknow Super Giants on 24th March, 2024, where he scored an unbeaten 82 runs off 52 balls.
