Delhi Capitals (DC) couldn’t find their form back in IPL 2024 as they lost their first two matches of the season against Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) respectively. Finishing ninth in the points table last year, DC is also looking out of touch in the ongoing edition and will look to get their first win in the upcoming match against Chennai Super Kings at Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on 31st March.
Like the previous season, DC is still dependent on overseas players like David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, and Tristan Stubbs and not getting much contribution from the middle order due to which they couldn’t accelerate the innings and lost by close margins in both games. DC skipper Rishabh Pant, who made his comeback in professional after more than 450 days, got a good start in the last two games, but couldn’t convert them into a big knock, He got out after scoring 18 off 12 against PBKS and 28 off 26 against RR.
Now, DC will travel to their second home ground in Vizag, where they will be facing CSK, who are unbeaten in their last two IPL games. To register their first win of the season against the strong looking CSK side, DC need to outperform them in every department and Pant will be looking to lead from the front in an important game.
