The RCB Unbox 2024 Event took place at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Tuesday, and as speculated, the franchise bought so many surprises for the fans ahead of IPL 2024. Firstly, they changes their name from Royal Challengers Bangalore to Royal Challengers ‘Bengaluru.’ Before the event, there were many rumours coming that the Bangalore in RCB will be changed to Bengaluru and now the franchise has made it official in the unbox event.

Along with this, RCB also revealed their new jersey for IPL 2024, for which the event was about. The jersey design is the same as last year, but the black color has been replaced with the blue along with the main red coloured theme. The jersey was revealed by the RCB skipper Faf du Plessis and star batter Virat Kohli.
RCB Men’ Team gave a Guard of Honour to Women’s Team for winning WPL 2024
RCB Women’s team led by Smriti Mandhana that recently won the Women’s Premier League in 2024 also made their appearance in the RCB 2024 Unbox event. In the event, the RCB Men’s team gave a guard of honour to the Women’s team carrying a WPL trophy. Notably this is first trophy won by RCB in T20 cricket in 17 years.

The RCB Women finally broke the curse of trophies for the franchise after defeating Delhi Capitals Women by 8 wickets in the final of the WPL at Arun Jaitley Stadium on 17 March. Now the Men’s team, looking for their first title for the last 16 years, will kickstart their IPL 2024 campaign with an opening match against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings on 22nd March at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
