RCB Unbox Event 2024: The cricketing world is buzzing with rumours that Royal Challengers Bangalore might tweak their name ahead of IPL 2024. Despite having a good team and reputed players, the coveted trophy has remained elusive for RCB since the inception of the league. The franchise has teased the fans about a possible name change during the RCB Unbox event, which is scheduled for March 19, 2024. The World’s Most famous DJ Allan Walker, will feature the night with his grooving and unique beats, and will make the night full of surprises with extra charm and enjoyment. The franchise hinted at the potential name change through a video shared on their official social media handle. There are speculations that the owners might embrace the city’s ancient moniker, transitioning from Royal Challengers Bangalore to Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
RCB icon Virat Kohli, who has yet to join the team’s preseason camp, is expected to join in the next few days. He might make his first appearance at an event in Garden City, where fans get a glimpse of their favourite stars. In the previous season, this event saw the induction of Chris Gayle and AB De Villiers into the Hall of Fame and the retirement of their jersey numbers 333 and 17.
The stage is set for the season opener, where the franchise will face off against the defending champion Chennai Super Kings in Chepauk Stadium. As per the first-leg schedule announced, RCB is set to host three home matches initially. Following an away game, they will welcome the Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Lucknow Super Giants to their home ground. The complete schedule for the remaining matches will be finalised after the date for the Lok Sabha polls is confirmed.
RCB has started their preseason camp ahead of the cash-rich league opener. Skipper Faf Du Plesis and West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph have joined the camp along with domestic players. It is being done under the guidance of new head coach Andy Flower. After failing to qualify for the play-offs last season, RCB would look to have a great season this year with the likes of Cameron Green, Lockie Ferguson, and Alzarri Joseph. Their batting lineup looks sorted, with Virat Kohli, Faf Du Plesis, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, and Dinesh Kartik coming in as finisher.

RCB Women’s Team to Attend Unbox Event
After creating history by winning the Women’s Premier League (WPL) in 2024, the RCB Women’s team is set to make an appearance in the RCB Unbox 2024 Event. After defeating Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets in the final on Sunday, the RCB Women guided the franchise to its first-ever title in T20 Cricket. The Women’s team will be coming with their WPL Trophy in the RCB Unbox 2024 Event.
Virat Kohli arrives in Bengaluru, Likely to appear in the RCB Unbox Event
RCB star batter Virat Kohli has finally arrived in Bengaluru and has started his preparations at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium for the upcoming season. Along with this, Kohli will also be seen making his appearance in the unbox event along with fellow teammates like Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj .
