After scripting against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, Punjab Kings will now take on Chennai Super Kings at their home ground in match number 49 of IPL 2024 at M.A Chidambaram Stadium on 1st May. In their last match, PBKS achieved the highest successful chase in IPL history as they chased down the target of 262 runs with Jonny Bairstow and Shashank Singh finishing things off for PBKS with their match-winning knocks.
However, the foundation for this record-breaking chase was set by Bairstow and Prabhsimran Singh. Bairstow scored a match-winning hundred but Prabhsimran gave a fiery start to PBKS by scoring 54 runs off 20 balls with four fours and five sixes.
