IPL 2025 Base Price List – The list for the retained and revealed players for the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League is out, and all ten teams have decided to let go of some big names who will go under the hammer in the upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction. This will be a two-day event which will be held on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
A total of 46 players have been retained by ten franchises from the last edition, with most of the teams retaining five players. Big names like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and Rohit Sharma have been retained, with South African star Heinrich Klaasen becoming the costliest retention. Sunrisers Hyderbad have retained him for INR 23 crore, while Virat is the costliest Indian player to be retained at INR 21 crore by Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

IPL 2025 Mega Auction: A total of 1574 players to come under the hammer
With the IPL 2025 mega auction just a few weeks away, the preparation is in full swing. All franchises are planning to find the right match for their team and will target the players accordingly. A total of 1574 players across the globe have registered themselves for the upcoming mega auction. This will be an even bigger auction than the previous. These players have registered themselves in different price categories, from INR 2 crore (international stars) to INR 30 lacs (uncapped Indian players).
Some big names will be featured in the auction. Those names include Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Mitchell Starc, Glenn Maxwell, Jos Buttler, Faf du Plessis, and many more. These players are divided into different price categories, which we will discuss here. Out of 1574 players, 320 are capped players who have played international cricket, while the remaining 1224 are uncapped players. Adding to that, 30 players are from Associate Nations. IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Big Names to Feature in Different Price Category
The complete list of 1574 to be auctioned at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction hasn’t been revealed yet. But there are big superstars to feature in different categories. Ben Stokes and Joe Root have opted out of the auction to manage their workload, while former English pacer James Anderson has registered himself in the 1.25 crore category. Meanwhile, Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan are registered in the INR 75 lakh category.
Mitchell Starc, who bagged a record-breaking deal of INR 24.75 crore by KKR, is available for INR 2 crore, as is Jofra Archer.
