The IPL 2024 is the most awaited cricket league after the 2023 ICC Men’s ODI World Cup. Australian Skipper and his squad put a full stop on Rohit Sharma and his Men in Blue’s unbeaten 2023 World Cup expedition.
To overcome this huge upset BCCI has already announced the IPL 2024 Auction date and venue. For the first time, the IPL Mini Auction 2024 will be held overseas in Dubai on 19th December. The IPL Auction 2024 will be followed by the Women’s Premier League 2024 on 9th December.
The five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will be looking forward to building a strong squad in the auction that can help them win their sixth title in the upcoming season.
However, having won their last title in 2020, MI didn’t have a great outing in the previous three seasons. Rohit Sharma’s men weren’t even able to qualify for the playoffs in 2021 and 2022. MI made it into the qualifier 2 in 2023 but lost to Gujarat Titans.
Mumbai Indians Skipper Rohit Sharma, the current captain of the Indian cricket team is trying his best to uplift the 2023 World Cup Final upset by winning the 2024 IPL trophy.

MI Target Players in IPL 2024 Auction (anticipated)
Mumbai Indians are known for picking the best possible winning combination without investing a huge amount in the auction. This is what makes MI one of the best franchises in the IPL history. This time also, in the IPL 2024 auction, the MI management will be looking to go for an impactful player who can make the team win games from any situation. The first player who will be in the scheme of things for MI along with the other franchises is Mitchell Starc.
The Australian pacer has already confirmed that he will be taking part in the IPL. It is likely that MI will keep a big purse for such a player. The next player whom MI can target is Chris Woakes. The England pacer had a great outing in the 2023 Ashes series where he ended up taking 19 wickets. His inclusion in the MI bowling line up along with Jasprit Bumrah would be a great addition for the franchise.
