The fifth-highest score in a run chase in the IPL was registered by Mahela Jayawardene while playing for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). It came during the 2010 edition in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. It was a high-scoring game, and KKR managed a big total of 200/3 in the first inning. Chris Gayle smashed 88 off 42 for them. In reply, Jayawardene, who opened the innings, added some useful partnerships in the middle and reached his maiden IPL ton off 55 balls. He scored an unbeaten 110 off 59 balls with 14 fours and three sixes to take Punjab to 204/2 in 18.4 overs and win it for his team.
4. Sanath Jayasuriya – 114* vs CSK in 2008

The fourth-highest score by a batter in a successful run chase in the IPL is registered under the name of Sanath Jayasuriya. It was registered in the inaugural season of 2008 in a match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. CSK batted first in the game and managed a total of 156/6. It was a below-par score, and Jayasuriya made it look very small. The opener scored a 45-ball century and remained unbeaten on 114 off just 48 balls, with nine fours and 11 sixes. MI reached the target in 13.5 overs and made 158/1 to win by nine wickets.
3. Shane Watson – 117* vs SRH in 2018

The highest score by an overseas batter in a successful run chase in the IPL is by Shane Watson. He had it in the final of the 2018 edition between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. CSK won the toss and bowled first in that game. SRH had a pretty decent performance and made 178/6 in 20 overs. It was never going to be an easy chase in a pressure final, but Watson made it look very simple. He scored an unbeaten 117 off 57 balls, with 11 fours and 8 sixes, to lead CSK to a title win. This is also the highest individual score in an IPL final.
2. Virender Sehwag – 119 vs Deccan Chargers in 2011

Destructive opener Virender Sehwag recorded the second highest score by a batter in a run chase in the IPL. He had it for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in the 46th game of the 2011 edition against Deccan Chargers. It started with Deccan batting first and posting a total of 175/5 in 20 overs. In reply, Sehwag single-handedly took Delhi to victory. He made 119 off 56 balls, including six sixes and 13 fours, and DC made 179/6 in 19 overs to win the game. The second best score by a batter in that game was 17.
1. Paul Valthaty – 120* vs CSK in 2011

Some of the fans might not know this name, but Paul Valthaty was one of the best batters in the 2011 season and scored the most runs for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). He had a superb season. He registered the highest individual score in a successful IPL chase. Valthaty did it against Chennai Super Kings in Mohali. CSK recorded a total of 188/4 in 20 overs. Chasing the score, Valthaty started the attack and went on to score a hundred. He scored an unbeaten 120 off 63 balls, with 19 fours and two sixes, and took Punjab to 193/4 in 19.1 overs to win the game.
