GT Retained Players 2025: Here’s a complete list of GT retained and released players ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega auction.
One time champion and 2023 runner-up Gujarat Titans had a disappointing season this year finishing at the 8th position with 12 points in the IPL 2024 Points table. After Hardik Pandya was traded back to his home franchise Mumbai Indians, Shubman Gill led GT, which only won 5 games out of 14 league matches.

Skipper Shubman Gill will be on the top of the GT retained players list for the IPL 2025. The 2023 highest run-getter Shubman Gill has been a top performer of the Gujarat Titans. In the previous season, Shubman Gill bagged 426 runs with a strike rate of 147.40 and an average of 38.73 in the 12 games. Recently, he also successfully led Team India in 5 T20I series in which India beat Zimbabwe and won by 4-1 in Harare.
Sai Sudarshan is another top-notch player on the squad, and GT would love to retain him for the next year. Southpaw Sai Sudarshan had a blast in the IPL 2024 and became the 3rd quickest player to bag 1000 runs in the tournament.
Pacer Mohammed Shami underwent right heel surgery and missed the entire IPL 2024 season. However, Mohammed Shami is the highest wicket-taker of the GT and will be retained for the next season of IPL.
Last but not least, Rashid Khan has been one of the highest wicket-takers of the Gujarat Team since the 2022 edition. He became an integral part of the GT squad and will remain for the IPL 2025 season. This year, Rashid Khan scalped 10 wickets with an 8.40 economy rate in the 12 games.
