1. Shaun Marsh

Australia’s star batter Shaun Marsh holds the record for the fastest 1000 runs in the Indian Premier League. A left-handed attacking batter played for Kings XI Punjab and scored 1000 runs in just 21 innings. Shaun Marsh scored the most runs in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League in 2008 and won the orange cap. In that season of the IPL, the Australian opening batter made 616 runs, with the highest score of 115 runs in just 11 innings. Shaun Marsh played till the 2017 IPL season as a key batter in the Kings XI Punjab batting line-up. Shaun Marsh in 71 IPL matches and scored 2477 runs with a 39.85 average and 132.74 strike rate. Marsh registered 20 fifty and one hundred scores also.
2. Lendl Simmons

2016 T20 World Cup semi-final player of the match Lendl Simmons scored the second-fastest 1000 runs in the Indian Premier League. A Caribbean right-handed batter took 23 innings to score 1000 runs in the IPL. Simmons represented the Mumbai Indians and was known for their Caribbean flair for power-hitting. Simmons also played a crucial role in the 2015 IPL final, scoring 68 from 45 balls and helping the Mumbai Indians put a massive total on the board. Later on, the Mumbai Indians registered a comprehensive win against the Chennai Super Kings at the Eden Gardens. Simmons scored 1079 runs in 29 matches, including 11 fifty and one hundred.
3. Matthew Hayden

Haydos wore the Chennai Super Kings jersey in the IPL for three years and scored 1107 runs in 32 matches with a strike rate of 137.52. Matthew Hayden won the orange cap by scoring 572 in the second season of the Indian Premier League. Hayden also gets popular for his unique Mongoose bat use in the IPL.
4. Jonny Bairstow

The English opener, known for his attacking game, scored 1000 runs in 26 IPL appearances. Bairstow holds fourth place in the current list of the fastest 1000 runs scored by batters. The wicketkeeper batter has played for two IPL teams till now: Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Bairstow debuted for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2019 and is currently with the Punjab Kings. 5. Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle, the Caribbean superstar of the game, played for the Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Kings XI in the IPL. Gayle holds the record for the highest individual score by a batter in the IPL at 175 runs. Gayle is considered among the top overseas batters in the IPL. Gayle played 142 IPL matches and scored 4965 runs with a strike rate of 148.96 and an average of 39.72. Gayle also has six IPL hundred and 31 fifties with his name.
6. Kane Williamson

The New Zealand captain made his mark on the list of the fastest 1000 runs in the Indian Premier League. Williamson completed this milestone in 28 IPL innings and currently stands in sixth place on the list. Williamson made his IPl debut in 2015 for Sunrisers Hyderabad and played for Sunrisers Hyderabad till 2022. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Williamson played a crucial role not only with the bat but also with captaincy and his guidance. Williamson scored 2101 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad, including the highest run scorer of the 2018 season with 735 runs. Williamson was also a part of the 2016 IPL-winning team. 7. Michael Hussey

Another Australian player on this list, Michael Hussey, completed 1000 runs in the IPL in 30 innings. Hussey is also known as “Mr. Cricket.” A left-handed batter played for two franchises: the Chennai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians. Hussey played 59 matches and scored 1977 runs with an average of 38.76 and a strike rate of 122.64. Hussey registered one century in the debut game of the Chennai Super Kings against KXIP; he scored an unbeaten 116 with the help of nine sixes and eight fours in just 54 balls. Hussey won the orange cap by scoring 733 runs in the 2013 Indian Premier League season and taking his team Chennai Super Kings to the final.
8. Sachin Tendulkar

Cricket legend and “God of Cricket” Sachin Tendulkar completed 1000 runs in the Indian Premier League in 31 innings. Tendulkar became the fastest Indian batter to complete 1,000 runs in the IPL. The master blaster played for the Mumbai Indians during his IPL career. Tendulkar played 78 matches and scored 2334 runs with a strike rate of 118.82 and an average of 34.84, including one century and 13 fifty-five scores. Sachin Tendulkar won the orange cap for his remarkable performance in the 2010 IPL with a 618-run contribution in 15 innings. Tendulkar retired from the IPL in 2013.
9. Ruturaj Gaikwad

In 2022, Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 1000 runs in just 31 innings, equaling the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. Gaikwad became the joint fastest Indian batter to score 1000 runs in the Indian Premier League. Gaikwad made his debut for the Chennai Super Kings in 2020, and from that day on, he only played for CSK.
