Saurashtra Cricket Stadium Rajkot Test Records/Stats: After a series-levelling victory in Visakhapatnam, the hosts India will be looking to take a lead in the ongoing 5-match Test series against England. The third test of the series will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot starting on 15th February, 2024. England stunned the Indian team in the first Test in Hyderabad by coming out victorious by 28 runs even after trailing by 190 runs in the first innings. However, the Men in Blue did make a comeback in Vizag and registered a 106-run victory to level the series by 1-1.
There were some exceptional performances from India in the last game. The young star Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his maiden double hundred on the pitch where rest of the Indian batter failed to go past 35 runs. On the other hand, Shubman Gill, who wasn’t seen in good form for the last few games, finally got some runs and scored a crucial hundred in the second innings. Above all these, player of the match Jasprit Bumrah turned out to be the star for the Indian team in the Vizag Test. The fast bowler picked up 9 wickets in the match including 6 wickets in the first innings.
However, India will be without Virat Kohli in the remaining Tests as well. Apart from that, KL Rahul is also ruled from the third Test and he will be replaced by Devdutt Padikkkal in the squad. On the other hand, availability of Ravindra Jadeja is also subjected to fitness in the third Test.

The first Test match at this venue was played between India and England from November 9th to 13th in 2016. Batting first, England posted 537 runs in the first innings. In response, India scored 488 runs in their first innings, powered by the centuries by Murali Vijay and Cheteswhar Pujara. However, England still set a target of 310 for India with the skipper Alastair Cook scoring a century in the second innings.
