Chris Gaffaney is very popular among cricketing nations and finds himself in the ICC Elite List of Umpires. He has officiated in many knockout matches of big ICC tournaments like the ODI and T20I World Cup. Gaffaney has officiated in 80 Test matches, 125 ODIs and 59 T20Is as an ICC umpire. His annual income is around $140k.

- The ICC umpire gets free travel and accommodation from the Apex Cricket Council during the matches. Whether it is a bilateral series or an ICC tournament, all the travel expenses for the umpires will be looked after by the ICC.
