Hong Kong Sixes 2025: The return of the Hong Kong Sixes tournament last year was celebrated worldwide among the fans. Since 2017, fans have had to wait for seven years to watch this unique tournament. Now, after the last season, the organizers are back with the next season.
The Hong Kong Sixes 2025 edition is all set to kick off on November 7, 2025, in Hong Kong, China. Just like the last edition, this season will also have 12 teams taking part in the competition. The tournament will be played in round-robin and knockout formats.
These 12 teams will be divided into four groups of three teams each, as Pools A, B, C, and D. The top two teams from each group will make it to the Cup quarter-final round. Meanwhile, the other teams will compete in the Bowl round.
All four winners of the quarterfinal matches will make it to the semis. However, the teams that will lose will play in the Plate semi-final round. It will be a three-day tournament, and November 9 will decide the champions of the Cup, Bowl, and Plate games. Sri Lanka won their second edition in 2024 and will be defending their title.
In total 29 matches will be played in three days, including the final. India have already announced Dinesh Karthik as their captain, while Ravi Ashwin is all set to play for India.
