Ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, a Baseball Park was converted into a cricket Ground in 2020 to host the marquee event. With $20 Million in renovation costs, the Grand Prairie Stadium has 13 luxury suites, premium seating, a sports bar, and cricket-specific facilities like training nets and batting lanes.
The stadium holds a permanent 7000 seating capacity for cricket fans which can be extended up to 15000.
The Grand Prairie stadium will host 4 T20 World Cup matches. It will also host the very first group stage match 1 between USA vs CAN on Sunday 2nd June at 6:00 pm. It will be the first T20 International match played in the Dallas Stadium.
