ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan and will commence from February 19 to March 9 in Lahore. Reigning Champion Pakistan is the 2017 Champions Trophy winner who will defend their cup in 2025.
The 9th edition of the ICC Champions Trophy is one of the most prestigious tournaments to be held among the top 8 Teams of the ODI World Cup. Previously known as ICC Knockout, the Champions Trophy was canceled in 2017 by ICC aiming to organize only one major tournament in each format of international cricket.
With the 2023 ODI World Cup, ICC has returned to the Champions Trophy 2025 which will set a tent in Pakistan after 8 years. The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) has already announced the schedule and venues including a penciled-in high-octane match between India and Pakistan on March 1st in Lahore.
Before the Champions Trophy 2025, PCB has disclosed a tight schedule to host five international teams in the home season including the Test, and ODI TRI series with Bangladesh, England, West Indies, New Zealand, and South Africa.
In the recent ICC T20 World Cup, Pakistan miserably failed to qualify for the Super 8 stage.
