IPL Winner 2008: Rajasthan Royals

Shane Warne, who took Rajasthan Royals to win the first season of the Indian Premier League was undoubtedly the star player for the whole of the season along with Shane Watson, Graeme Smith, and Yusuf Pathan. Pathan showed his utmost skills and volunteered as an expert bowler and batter during the season. His match-winning 3 wickets and 56 runs from 39 balls against Chennai Super Kings placed Rajasthan Royals in the IPL Winning Teams List with unbelievable stats.

IPL Winner 2009: Deccan Chargers

Deccan Chargers were in charge from the beginning of the tournament. Herschelle Gibbs, Rohit Sharma, and Andrew Symonds batted extraordinarily to reach the winning goal. On the other hand, Pragyan Ojha took 18 wickets with his tremendous left-arm spin bowling. The captain, Gilchrist smashed 495 runs in 16 matches and listed himself on the second position in the list of highest run scorers in IPL 2009. After all this, Deccan Chargers beat Royal Challengers Bangalore to become one of the Winning Teams of IPL.

IPL Winner 2010: Chennai Super Kings

M S Dhoni and his dedication demands no explanation. His performance is uncommon in every format of professional cricket. He led the team and charged them up to achieve a win. Some other players like Suresh Raina, Albie Morkel, Mathew Hayden and Muralitharan played really well for the whole of the season. Suresh Raina racked 57 runs (not out) in just 35 balls to blow up CSK’s victory over Mumbai Indians and mark a remarkable place in IPL Winning Teams list.

IPL Winner 2011: Chennai Super Kings

After winning two consecutive titles for IPL winners, CSK was holding a denoting place in the IPL Winning Teams list. The cricket legend, Michael Hussey blew the batting for CSK and played some crucial innings during the tournament. Hussey’s and Vijay’s opening partnership for 159 runs led the team to win the title against RCB.

IPL Winner 2012: Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR defeated the opposing team CSK in the finals. We can not forget the thundering deliveries by Bisla from that match. He destroyed the ballers by hitting 89 runs from just 48 balls. Even CSK’s star player Suresh Raina (73 from 38) failed to stop KKR from winning the title and entering into the chart of winning teams of IPL.

IPL Winner 2013: Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians defeated the two times champion, Chennai Super Kings. Rohit Sharma led the team towards the winning goal along with the astonishing performances by Lasith Malinga, Mitchell Johnson, and Kieron Pollard throughout the tournament. Resulting in winning the finals and taking the team for the first time in the IPL winning teams list.

IPL Winner 2014: Kolkata Knight Riders 

Becoming the second team to achieve the goal of winning the title for two times of IPL, KKR ran brilliantly towards the humongous target of 199 runs from Kings XI Punjab. For this time, Manish Pandey batted for 94 runs in just 50 balls leading the team to an impressive win and again becoming one of the winning teams of IPL.

IPL Winner 2015: Mumbai Indians

Becoming the third team to win the IPL winner title twice, Mumbai Indians showed uncommon cricket in IPL 2015. Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayadu, Simmons, and Kieron Pollard rocked the pitch throughout the tournament with their exceptional smashes. On the other side, Lasith Malinga showcased his unbelievable bowling skills and took 24 wickets. All these stats took Mumbai Indians to a great win against Chennai Super Kings, securing a place for MI again in the IPL winning teams list. 

IPL Winner 2016: Sunrisers Hyderabad

It was for the first time when Sunrisers Hyderabad racked up a win in the IPL tournament against RCB. Although, the margin was just 8 runs. David Warner, the captain from SRH managed to lead the team to a great win. Along with this, the match was in everyone’s conversation because of the tremendous performance by Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers partnership but failed to add the team to the winning teams of IPL.

IPL Winner 2017: Mumbai Indians

The unstoppable Mumbai Indians won the title for the 3rd time. First in 2013 and then in 2015. The match is unforgettable for all the viewers till date. MI managed to win against  Rising Pune Supergiants by just a run. At the end of the day, Rohit Sharma, captain of Mumbai Indians led the team to one more win, resulting in maintaining a reputed place in the IPL winning teams list. 

IPL Winner 2018: Chennai Super Kings

With the help of esteemed players in the team like Shane Watson and Ambati Rayadu, CSK cracked one more win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. ‘The Captain Cool’ again proved himself as the best finisher throughout the tournament. Along with this, Dwayne Bravo bowled in an attacking mode in every match, leading the team to win finals and maintaining a place in the winning teams of IPL.

IPL Winner 2019: Mumbai Indians

The ultimate final between two kings of the Indian Premier League, MI vs CSK. The match was super exciting. The super over was played in between Shardul Thakur in which he failed to attend Maling’s bowling and could score a single run. Hence, Mumbai Indians became the winner for the 4th time in the IPL maintaining the reputed place in IPL winning teams list.

IPL Winner 2020: Mumbai Indians

No team was able to stop Mumbai Indians. Rohit Sharma did a fabulous job as a captain of the team. And registered a win against Delhi Capitals again in IPL 2020 for the 5th time.  After this, Mumbai Indians became one of the most continual winning teams of IPL. In the same tournament, MI also won the award for Paytm Fairplay. 

IPL Winner 2021: Chennai Super Kings

The team of Chennai Super Kings continued to show their expertise in cricket winning the IPL again in 2021 against Kolkata Knight Riders by 27 runs. The tournament’s final match was hosted in Dubai with amazing treatment to all the players. Registering 4th win in IPL winning teams list, Chennai Super Kings stands straight as the most celebrated team in the IPL.

IPL Winner 2022: Gujarat Titans

What is better than winning the title of IPL winner in their debut year for any team? Yes, Gujarat Titans did this job with an amazing performance in the 2022 IPL. The captain, Hardik Pandya led the team to win the tournament with 20 points on the table. The winning average of Gujarat Titans was uncommon. They played 14 matches and won 10 out of them. The notable performances set the team in the list for winning teams of IPL. 

IPL Winner 2023: Chennai Super Kings

The rebellious CSK won the IPL and proved themselves again as the best IPL team. The match was played at Narendra Modi Stadium fully packed with the audience. CSK registered a win in this match by 5 wickets. And continued to flaunt in the IPL winning teams list.
