The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the all-female panel of match officials for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. On Tuesday, ICC unveiled the names of all thirteen match officials- 10 Umpires and three match referees for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 hosted by the Bangladesh Cricket Board in the UAE.
All the female officials on the panel were appointed for the upcoming Marquee event, which will be held from 3rd October to 20th October. The list includes the most experienced umpire Claire Polosak who previously appeared in the four ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
Besides Polask, Kim Cotton and Jacqueline Williams are the two experienced umpires on the list, making their fourth appearance in the tournament. Cotton and Williams both officiated the previous final between Australia and South Africa.
Speaking of the last edition, Sue Redfern who served as a TV Umpire for the previous Women’s T20 World Cup is also returning for her fourth appearance in the upcoming tournament.
Zimbabwe’s Sarah Dambanevana will make her Umpire debut in the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. In an interview, ICC Senior Manager Sean Easey explained the all-female official panel selection for the ICC big event and said,
“This group, selected as the most deserving umpires for this event following their recent form in bilateral and other cricket, are some of the very best from around the world…”
He continued, “We are confident that they will do a great job at this event. I wish them the best of luck as they oversee the world’s top women’s cricketers in what will be an exciting tournament for all involved.”

Match Referees: Shandré Fritz, Michell Pereira, and GS Lakshmi.
